September part 2

I bought this cute costume off of one of those FaceBook garage sale type groups back in the spring for like $5.  Gavin loves it and every once in awhile he decides to wear it and pretend to be a dragon.  This is him chasing Daddy.

The next to last weekend, we headed down to Lake Park for the annual Browning Family reunion, where Gavin had a big time playing with all his cousins and I died of embarrassment once again from the Elvis show :-).  Gavin sure did like to see his Papa up there on the stage though so I guess I can't complain.

Below is a video if you are interested....
Poor Clay has had to miss his annual hunting trip to North Dakota the past two years, so he was SUPER excited about the trip this year and planned and mapped and did various other hunting related things for months leading up to the big trip.  I wish I could say that all the preparation paid off but alas I can not.  Maybe next year....  Meanwhile Gavin and I headed down to Tallahassee to spend the weekend with Uncle Dave.  What a blessing that was for me! Gavin was distracted from missing his Daddy and had some of his most favorite playmates, Uncle Dave, Aunt Pril and Sam!

David has a dining room table with a glass top that Gavin thought was super cool because he could see everything when he climbed under it.  So like the super Mom that I am, I took one of his cut up hot dogs and held it to the table while he tried to eat it and David took a picture :-).

I know Gavin was loving being with his Uncle Dave because that Friday we got there right at Gavin's normal dinner time and other than a few pieces of hot dog he didn't eat anything until we went to Barnacle Bill's after his normal bedtime.  At Barnacle Bill's Gavin proceeded to entertain the entire dining establishment with his antics, somehow sweet talked one of the patrons into buying him a HUGE brownie and the waitress fell head over heals in love :-).  At one point when I took him to change his diaper, he was running down the line of tables giving everyone high fives.  I thought for sure when we got home WAY past his bedtime that he would sleep nice and late in the morning so I stayed up with David and April talking.  Big mistake, Gavin woke up just as early as ever and wanted EVERYONE to play!  I managed to distract him for an hour or two with Uncle Dave's enormous TV and Transformers on Netflix, but he never would let me fall asleep on the couch.

Gavin had a couple of incidents in the Bradfordville Walmart when we went to pick up Meme's birthday cheesecake and a fishing pole for my Dad.  One of which was Gavin getting super mad at me when I would let him have these Popsicle things.  So to show his displeasure he spit.  However it wasn't on me, it was in the direction of Uncle Dave, who immediately freaked out.  I know it was the wrong thing to do but David's reaction was so funny that I laughed so hard I was crying and almost had an accident!  Needless to say David was less than amused and pouted about it for quite awhile :-).

After Meme's birthday party we headed back to Tallahassee.  Below is  Gavin playing Super Man and Sam playing trying to chase him.

On Sunday we went to this great little church right behind David's house and after that went to the park right down the road.  I love where my brother lives, it is perfect!!

My Dad had driven down so while he entertained Gavin, April and I laughed at my big, strong, brother's attempt to cross the handlebar things on the playground.  It was REALLY funny.

Wow It's Been Awhile - September

Labor Day weekend we spent in town and in between our many trips to the Verizon store to get our new phones working correctly, we spent a lot of time at the park!  I don't know what we would do with out the wonderful parks that we have here.

I have a lot more pictures that were taken with Clay's phone but I am having serious trouble trying to figure out how to get them off my phone!

The middle of the month was the Kid's Dig It, put on by the local 4-H club.  This is the first year we got to go and I was SO excited!  I just knew with Gavin's tractor fascination that it would be a HUGE hit!  And it was!!  He was a little frightened of some of the big tractors but warmed up really quickly!

I saw another family take a picture like this, but Gavin was having none of it!!

This was a really cool fan thing, not sure what it is used for in the real world, but it was nice to cool off for a second.

I think Gavin wanted to tell that boy to get out of his truck :-)

Gavin wanted to actually ride on a tractor really badly so we decided to buy a ticket with the full knowledge that it probably wasn't going to happen once Gavin realized, Mommy and Daddy couldn't ride with him.  Well after the 45 minute wait, I was really apprehensive and wanted him to do it SO bad.  I kept asking him if he was going to be a big boy and help that man move the dirt and dig holes, and he kept saying that he was.  I still wasn't very confident, but apparently I underestimated his love of tractors!  He LOVED it!!!

Gavin held on to those controls like he knew exactly what he was doing!  He was concentrating so hard, it was so precious!!

To say we had to drag him away kicking and screaming would be an understatement, but I am quite positive we were not the only ones!!

I'll try and update the rest of September tomorrow, but no promises :-)

Wow! It's been awhile!!-August

Wow, I can not believe how long it has been since I posted!!  To say that I have been overworked and over stressed is to really minimize but nevertheless that is my excuse!!

I can barely remember what I have done the past month and a half so I am relying on pictures to jog my memory....

We spent a weekend at Me-Me's while Pa-Pa went out of town.  Gavin had a great time and now everytime we go to a park he says "Where's Me-Me?"  I didn't get many pictures because I was by myself most of the time.

Clay is the world's best bubble bath maker which you can tell from the pictures below where you can barely find Gavin.

And that pretty much rounded out August... now onto September!
