October part 2

In my last post I actually skipped a day, Gavin's Farmer Brown party, which is his school's version of Halloween and the Homecoming parade.

Gavin all dressed up as a farmer

Everybody sitting quietly having their food.  I couldn't believe that they had their party at 9:30 in the morning with all of that sugar!!  Craziness!!

This was Gavin while we were waiting for Corky and Ashlyn to get to the Homecoming parade, silly boy!

I sure do love these boys!!!
Gavin had a fantastic time catching candy and asked about it for the next few weeks.  Every afternoon when I would pick him up he would say, "No go home Mommy, go catch candies" and then when I would tell him that there wasn't a parade, he would scream.... Fun times :-)  Good thing Halloween came up quick so we could end his association of parades and candy.

The weekend before Halloween, we went to Atlanta to see the Richards and McCrarys, we didn't take many pictures but Clay did get a few of the kids playing on the trampoline together while all the Dads watched and the Moms went out to lunch :-).

Those kids have SO much fun together!!  It is such a blessing!

That Sunday after our long drive home we went to the Fall Festival at our church.  Gavin wasn't really in a great mood and all the different people kind of freaked him out for a little while but he eventually got into it.  What a cute little giraffe he was!!

It NEVER ceases to amaze me that Gavin shows no fear of heights!!  He is in front of that little girl with the blue jacket on!

He never hesitated, not even for a second!!

In the Bouncy house with all of his "girl" friends.  I think I am going to have to watch him close as he gets older, haha!

The following Tuesday was Halloween and we went to the Altman's to have a little party and let all the kids trick-or-treat together.  It was a lot of fun, it is so nice to have friends with kids who are close to Gavin's age that he enjoys playing with.

Gavin thought he had hit the jackpot with all of the toys in the playroom.  He could have cared less that they were all "girl" toys.  New toys are fantastic toys to him either way!

Playing with his best friend the parrott

Great friends!!  So sweet and cute!

And THAT my friends wraps up our crazy October!!!  November is next and it was just as busy if not more so!

October part 1

We have had a really busy couple of months, coupled with madness at work, has lead to the inevitable lack of blogging....Same old story :-)

Anyway, while Clay was out of town in Las Vegas getting his CCIM designation.  Gavin and I spent some time with Corky, what Gavin calls her, and Ashlyn at the Pumpkin Patch and a Fall Festival at one of the local churches.

It was a much needed distraction from not having Daddy around!

The night Clay got back, I decided to welcome him home with some balloons, a banner, and a sweet homemade card from Gavin congratulating him on all his very hard work.....

Well while I made a VERY short phone call to my parents Gavin decided that coloring on the paper was old news and decided to make himself the new masterpiece!

And boy was he MAD when I told him we had to get in the bathtub and wash it off!!!

And to round out the first half of October was VSU's Homecoming!  Once again we teamed up with Corky and Ashlyn and made all of the VSU employees and prospective students a little crazy!

Aren't we Cute!!! :-)

Getting our faces painted before lunch at the Alumni tailgate.

Terrorizing all of the bookstore employees and other customers, but boy did they have FUN!!!

Getting rid of all of that extra energy

This is Gavin's favorite thing to do, "Play the Monster"
 This is him, "Roaring"

I talked Gavin and Ashlyn into rolling down the hill in front of the library, they thought it was great!

Dancing to the band at the KA house for a minute.
Posing with all of the other toddler entertainers :-)
Not much on the dialog but then again, it was over a month and a half ago so it is kind of hard to remember :-).
