uuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

29 weeks and 2 days and I don't think it will EVER end!!! I am freaking miserable and probably making everyone around me freaking miserable :-). I have barely slept in 5 days, my entire body feels like someone took a baseball bat to it and to top it all off, I started having some sort of contractions last night. They weren't super painful, but pretty darn uncomfortable. Hopefully they are just Braxton-Hicks contractions because it is way too early for Gavin to make his entrance into this world. Although by his activity level he seems to be saying he is going to break out of there his self if someone won't let him out soon. I may have already posted this but can't remember so.... I read an article last week about counting fetal movements/kicks and that you should feel at least 10 in two hours. Well I counted last Monday, I believe, and Gavin kicked me 18 times in under a minute!! Although I am super happy that he is so healthy my bladder and ribs are very unhappy. I have another OB appt tomorrow so hopefully it will go well. I will have my Rh shot just in case that Gavin's blood isn't negative like mine.

Clay has made a ton of progress on the nursery, thank goodness. See the pictures below

Below is my belly picture at 28 weeks! Getting bigger and bigger!!!

Check-up

Well Gavin and I had another checkup this morning. The first one we have had to do solo since I didn't think Clay would want to hang around for my glucose test. Boy was that a mistake!! I got sick as a dog! Everything was going fine until 45 minutes in when I almost passed out. I started having cold sweats and feeling really weak and light headed, I could barely keep my eyes open and thought I might throw up right were I was. I had recovered at bit by the time the nurse came and got me but I could still barely walk to the lab. She said it probably didn't help that I am recovering from the stomach bug, but either way that was miserable business.

On a brighter note, the stomach bug didn't set Gavin back any! He was as active as ever although he did give me a small break and only punch/kick my lower abdomen and not my stomach. The nurse at SOBGYN had the hardest time getting him to be still enough to count his heartbeats. Dr. Culbreth said that this was a really good sign. Another wonderful piece of info I received is that I gained less than 2 lbs!!!! Woohoo!! Now if I can only keep this up, I might actually gain close to 50 lbs total. AGGGGHHHH.

A new low :)

Well I hit a new low, sort of, last night. I was terribly ashamed of my gluttoness afterwards but I sure did enjoy myself during my consumption of 1/2 bottle of Frank's Hot Wing sauce. I honestly think I could eat cow patties if they had hot wing sauce on them. Needless to say I am paying for my actions today with an awful case of indigestion. The sad thing is, that I bet I would do it all over again tonight if Clay would cook them for me again!!

I also reached a new milestone earlier this week when I realized that I couldn't see my feet anymore. I think my belly is growing a couple of inches a day! Gavin is still CRAZY active, I have actually been joking that I am carrying a Gremlin instead of a baby in my belly. He has started kicking me in the ribs but it isn't too bad yet because he is just barely reaching them. I'm sure in another week or two it will start hurting pretty bad.

I have my glucose test and OB appt next Wednesday and I have to say I better not have gained hardly any weight at all because I have been SO good! And before you say anything smart about my indulgence last night, the chicken strips were not breaded or fried and hot wing sauce actually doesn't have any fat or calories!! I am actually being more careful about what I eat now than I was before I got pregnant. I have pretty much decided that if I still gain 10 or so pounds I am going back to eating like I was before because all of this eating healthy and low fat isn't worth 2 pounds!

Writing a Birth Plan: How to Write a Birth Plan

Writing a Birth Plan: How to Write a Birth Plan

I just found this online - interesting although I am not sure that our local hospital would be real excited about my list of instructions! Has anyone else out there done this before?

Progress Pics 2010-01-20

This is me last night, 24 wks and 2 days! My belly is finally poking out farther than everything else, so I actually look preg and not just chunky!

My friend Erika also insisted that I post progress pics of the nursery. First a disclaimer, I have no ownership of this room in the house, this is COMPLETELY my husbands doing! This is actually not as bad as it was, he has actually moved several boxes into the attic already :-).

6 months!

Well today I am officially 24 weeks, only 16 more to go! It is hard to believe that Gavin will be here that soon.

Tax season also officially starts today and it is almost 13 weeks long. 13 long weeks of 55+ hrs Ya! I just pray I make it!

I have developed a new symptom over the weekend, my plantar fasciitis is back, just being barefoot, getting ready for work in the morning is unbelievably painful. Apparently the weight gain and all the crazy hormones can really aggravate it. Good thing I got a gift certificate for some new tennis shoes for my birthday because that may be the only shoes I am wearing on my feet from now on.

We have been so blessed by God through our friends during this pregnancy, I have gotten boxes and boxes of maternity clothes which has saved us untold amounts of money. We have also gotten baby boy clothes from two of our friends which will see Gavin through at least the first 9 months. And we have gotten various baby items like a really nice swing, boppy, moses basket, and diaper pail. God is so good!!!

Thanks!!

Thank you to my wonderful, amazing, husband and my friends that made my 30th birthday so incredibly special. I had such a great time at dinner last night! I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Pregnancy update - I weigh WAY to much and am completely exhausted this morning. I look almost as bad as I feel :-). I am not sure at all how in the world I am going to make it through tax season. I will be starting the 3rd trimester next week and I know all my symptoms will only get worse from here out. I would like to request lots of prayer for me and Clay also.

I am starting my sort of diet today since Dr. Culbreth asked that I try and only gain 3 or 4 lbs before my next visit in three weeks. That is going to take a miracle I am pretty positive but I am going to try and help by not eating chocolate or anything from a restaurant other than salads. I may cheat this weekend when my parents come up to take me out for my birthday :-). Hopefully our mini ice age will be over soon so that I can start exercising in the mornings again.

Clay got to see my belly jump last night before we left for dinner and he was super excited.
